For tour operators

Operator Onboarding

Four steps to get a tour business set up on VicFalls Connect: create the profile travellers read, describe what you run, list your services in the Marketplace, then keep posting so people find you.

The four steps

Work through them in order — each one takes a few minutes, and each one makes the next more useful.

1

Create your operator profile

About 5 minutes

Your profile is the page a traveller reads the moment your name comes up. Set it up before you do anything else.

  • Join with an email address you actually read — that is where enquiries land.
  • Use the name guests know you by, not the registered company name.
  • Set your member label to Tour operator so you appear in the operator directories.
  • Add a real photo of you or your team, and the town or river you work from.
  • Write a bio that answers what you run, who it suits and where you meet guests.
2

Describe what you offer

About 15 minutes

Travellers book the operator whose trip they can picture before they message. Say it plainly, in their words.

  • Name each trip the way guests search for it: 'Sunset cruise, two hours, Zambezi'.
  • Give the duration, the group size and how far ahead to book.
  • Give a from price in US dollars — even approximate prices filter the wrong enquiries out.
  • Say what is included and what is not: park fees, lunch, transfers, drinks.
  • Say where you collect guests, and what they should bring with them.
3

List your services in the Marketplace

About 20 minutes, then staff confirm your payment

A listing puts your services, photos and contact details in front of travellers who are ready to book — and on Top Operators.

  • Pick the listing category that fits: tour operator, accommodation, guide or transfer.
  • List your services point by point so each trip reads as its own offer.
  • Add your contact email, WhatsApp number and website — these show on Top Operators.
  • Choose a package: Basic, Featured or Premium. Higher packages rank above the rest.
  • Send your listing and pay for it; staff confirm the payment and it goes live for 12 months.
4

Get found, then answer fast

Ongoing

Operators who post steadily are seen without paying for adverts. A quick reply is usually why someone books.

  • Post a photo or two from a recent trip each week and tag the spot you ran.
  • Tell the story around the photo: water levels, wildlife, what was different that day.
  • Answer comments the same day, in public, then move the details to a chat or a call.
  • Keep your phone and WhatsApp reachable, even in your busiest weeks.
  • Ask guests who enjoyed it to mention you by name when they post.

Operator profile checklist

Start with the first three — they carry most of the weight.
